I joined the tuition at Fun Learning Yard (FLY) about 2 months before my GCE 'O' Levels for Physics, right after my school's preliminary examinations. Before joining this tuition, my physics results have always been a borderline pass. My Mid-Year Examination results for Physics was 52, and my Prelim results was 56. During a mock examination, my results was 58. Right after joining FLY, my understanding of physics was greatly improved! In just two weeks from my mock examination test, I scored 78, 72 and 77 for the next three mock tests in school! Furthermore, FLY provides a wide variety of apparatus for a better understanding in physics. Mr Tan Peng Yeon, my tuition teacher, made lessons easy to understand and interesting as well! His unique way of explaining situations cleared any misconceptions I had regarding physics, and he changed my view of physics. I used to dread physics but now I'm really interested in physics and this has helped to pull my grades up too. My only regret was not joining FLY earlier, as it has really made a great difference for me and I strongly recommend this tuition for anyone! :)

Mr Tan Peng Yeon has all the makings of an extremely capable teacher. He displays wisdom and patience when teaching physics, which are essential qualities when helping students unravel the intricacies of the physical world. His many years of experience in the teaching field have also enabled him to gain an invaluable insight into a students' train of thoughts and to spot, as well as solve, their most common and serious misconceptions. Through the use of apparatus and equipment, Mr tan has also been able adopt a more practical method of teaching that showcases the beauty of physics in itself. This helps students to gain a more wholesome view of physics and not just see it from a theoretical point of view. His teaching methods have been carefully crafted so that his students would have little problem in overcoming even the most difficult concepts. All in all, Mr tan is a great teacher to have.  I stand testimony to his abilities with my improved grades ad new-found love for physics.

Mr Tan is one of the most passionate teachers i have ever met so far (I have gone through at least 12 years of education in singapore). He never fails to make the dry subject into an interesting one. Not only did he taught me the skills in physics, he also taught me important values which is no doubt a bonus to my life. He is very knowledgeable, never fails to answer any queries of the class. Being flexible and creative, he understood the students needs and coaches us with the most effective methods accordingly. Learning from him is one of the most wonderful experience i had in woodlands secondary.
